Project Description

                                            Image:WIKIproject.JPG

The project is to create a device for handicapped children to provide entertainment as well as stimulation. Many of the children have limited mobility, so a fairly simple device was required. The idea was to build a musical device that will output sound and light. The plan was to make it a rainbow with a portion of the rainbow being open air. In the open space, a row of sensors will be placed so that when the beam is broken, the children will hear a tone and see that color of the rainbow light up. By placing their hand into the sensor beam, they will be able to “play” the rainbow, and will be stimulated with light and sound.
